Donald Wayne Weddle, age 31, of Charles Town, West Virginia, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at his home.
Donald was formerly of Thurmont, Maryland and was born on May 12, 1983 in Frederick, Maryland. He was the beloved son of Anthony R. Weddle of Thurmont, and Aretta J. (Ellison) Weddle of Rocky Ridge.
Donald was a gifted tattoo and painting artist. He enjoyed rockabilly music, horror films, especially Frankenstein, and playing the guitar. His favorite holiday was Halloween. A friend to all he loved helping people in need and especially enjoyed time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his parents are paternal grandparents, Charolette Weddle and Bill Bunch of Thurmont, Richard and Pat Weddle of Woodsboro; maternal grandparents, Connie and Wallas Boggs of Rocky Ridge and Alvis Ellison of Virginia; son, Braden Weddle and daughter, Lily Weddle both of W. Va.; twin brother, James Weddle and companion Elizabeth Wold of Emmitsburg; sisters, Amber Weddle of Waynesboro, Pa., Brandi Weddle of Rocky Ridge, and Sarah Weddle of Emmitsburg; special friend, Kirsten Kellerman of W. Va.; former spouse, Charlotte Tetlow of W.Va., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
