Donald Joseph Pastorett, Sr., age 68, of Emmitsburg died Saturday, June 9, at his home. Born April 14, 1943, in Queens, New York, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Alice Kaas Pastorett.
He worked a variety of jobs throughout his life including employment at two area shoe manufacturers. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved his three cats and enjoyed traveling and watching television. His favorite programs were game shows, wrestling, political programs & sports. His favorite baseball team was the New York Mets.
He is survived by son, Joseph Pastorett of Emmitsburg; daughter, Mary Pastorett of Gettysburg; and brother, Richard Pastorett, Sr. of Montgomery, Alabama. He was predeceased by infant son, Donald Joseph Pastorett, Jr. and sister, Mary June Pastorett Park.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main St., Emmitsburg, MD, with the Rev. John J. Holliday, C.M. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Harney.
