Donald E. Moser

Donald Eugene Moser, 93, of Emmitsburg died peacefully Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA. Born October 25, 1919 in Keysville, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Rigler Moser. He was the husband of the late Emily Marguerite Reed Moser who died in 1989.



Donald was a life-long farmer in the Emmitsburg community. He was a member of Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading the newspaper. He loved life on the farm and enjoyed spending time with his family.



Surviving are daughters, Dorothy Little & husband Tom, Patricia Knott, Betty Wivell & husband Dave, and son, Robert Moser & wife Mary Jane, all of Emmitsburg; grandchildren, Wanda Reed & husband Ron, Sherry Cregger & husband Alvin, Brian Little, Thomas Little, Jr. & wife Jeanie, Deborah Wivell & husband Kevin, Patricia Knott, and Chad Knott & wife Beth, all of Emmitsburg, David Wivell, Jr. & wife Kim, and Wayne Wivell of Fairfield, PA, Theresa Wivell of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Sharon Knott of Fayetteville, PA, and Mandy & Mark Criswell of Coatesville, PA; great-grandchildren, Keith & Steven Reed, Adam, Cory, & Jenny Cregger, Josh, Abby, Shawn, Carrie, & Caleb Little, David Wivell III, Maya Swiderski, Kameron Kneer, Adryane Wivell, Wayne Wivell, Jr., Erica & Ian Orendorff, Chad Knott, Jr., Colby Knott, Chase Woodson, Mike, Patrick, Mikayal, Alexis, & Savannah Sweeney, and Kaiden Criswell; great-great grandchildren, Kyle, Keirstin, & Cameron Reed, and Chase Cregger; several nieces; and a nephew. He was predeceased by brothers, Claude and Roger Moser.



A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10 at Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church, 16252 Tom’s Creek Church Rd, Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Timothy S. Kromer officiating. Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St, Emmitsburg.
