Donald Lee Eversole, age 66, resident of Rouzerville, Pennsylvania, died on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA.
Born on October 25, 1949 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Theodore and Freda (Wagerman) Eversole. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Faye (Wishard) Eversole.
Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He was a construction worker and truck driver with D. L. George Construction for 33 years, retiring in 2006 due to health problems. He was a member of the American Legion, Order of the OWLS, Eagles, Inc., Moose Lodge, and the Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Club. Donald enjoyed playing golf, old Dodge cars, and long morning walks in the countryside. He loved all animals especially his stray cats, riding his Harley motorcycle, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are a son, Jamie Lee Eversole and wife Heidi of Fairfield, PA; granddaughters, Sommer and Payton Eversole; great-grandson, Luke Eversole; brother, Dave Eversole and wife Dolly of Quincy, PA; sister, Sharon Snoke and husband Herman of Fairfield, PA. He was predeceased by a brother, Roy Eversole.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD. Interment with military honors will follow in the Harbaugh Cemetery in Rouzerville, PA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
