Diana Lyn Meyer, 43, of Emmitsburg, MD, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA, as the result of a tragic fire at her residence. Born September 28, 1972 in Canton, OH, she was the daughter of Linda (Dayberry) Sams of Clinton, OH, and the late David Anderson.
Diana was a social worker with Summit County (Ohio) Children’s Services for several years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, exercising, and spending time with her family.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are children, Jason Ivan of Massillon, OH, Samantha Ivan of Thurmont, MD, and Joseph Meyer of Emmitsburg, MD; siblings, David Anderson and wife Erica of Navarre, OH, Jennifer Ertle and husband Jim of North Canton, OH, Steven Anderson and wife Niki of Akron, OH, John Anderson of North Canton, OH, and Michael Anderson of Massillon, OH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, MD, with the Rev. John J. Holliday, C.M. as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
