Dennis Eugene Oetter, 56, of Frederick, MD died Monday, January 11, 2016 at his home. Born February 24, 1959 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Charles William and Christie Irene (Ward) Oetter, Sr.
Dennis was a custodian for Community Living, Inc. and Goodwill Industries, both in Frederick. He enjoyed both watching and participating in sports. He was very active in Special Olympics, winning many medals, most of them gold. Dennis was known for helping others.
Surviving are sister, Sharon Gregorowicz and husband John of Catawissa, PA; brothers, Larry Ward of DeRidder, LA; Charles Oetter, Jr. and wife Kim of DeRidder, LA, and Jeffery Oetter of Germany; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg, MD at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Living, Inc., 620-B Research Ct, Frederick, MD, 21703.
