Deborah Lee “Debbie” Combs, 56, of Thurmont, MD, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 3, 2020.  She passed at Frederick Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  Born November 3, 1963 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Linkswiler) Hornick.  She was the wife of Lynn Combs, to whom she was married for more than 19 years.

Debbie worked in Document Collections for Citicorp in Frederick for 20 years.  She was a member of St. Anthony Shrine Parish in Emmitsburg.  She loved dollhouse crafting, yard sales, cookouts, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to her husband Lynn, are son, Michael Grimes and wife Nikki of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; step-son, Eric Combs and step-daughter, Lindsey Combs, both of Hagerstown; brother, David Hornick of Georgia; sister, Carol Claus and husband Tom of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Gage Lowe, Hailie and Callie Grimes, and Dallas, Wyatt and Kimberlyn Jacoby; and many nieces and nephews.  She is also remembered by her dear friend, Gayle Alexander.  Debbie was predeceased by her precious son, Jimmy Grimes and a brother, Larry Hornick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at St. Anthony Shrine Parish, 16150 St. Anthony Rd., Emmitsburg, MD.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7th at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Debbie’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8400 Silver Crossing, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
