David “Gus” Allen Wilson, 61, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at home.
Born July 30, 1956 in Taneytown, MD, he was the son of the late Roland and Hilda (Pittinger) Wilson. He was the loving and devoted husband of 34 years to Teresa A. (Mackley) Wilson.
David was a truck driver with Francis Reaver, Van Hesson & Co., and Richard F. Kline trucking companies. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and watching movies. He always enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son, John Robert Wilson and wife Amy of Chambersburg, PA; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Scott of Owings Mills; grandchildren, Emma and Chase Wilson; brothers, John “Bob” Wilson and wife Sharon of New Windsor, and Harold “Butch” Wilson of Hanover, PA; sisters, Barbara Mahaney and husband Gary of Thurmont, and Diana Hahn and husband Ronald of Sabillasville; father-in-law, John Mackley, Jr. of Union Bridge; sister-in-law, Brenda Carbaugh of Keymar; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by son-in-law, Wesley Scott; and mother-in-law, Annabelle Mackley.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Union Bridge. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 15th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
