Darlene May (Sites) Mort

Darlene May Mort, 68, of Waynesboro, PA, died on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the York Hospital.

Born on September 16, 1949 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Maurice E. and Lillian (Martin) Sites.  She was the wife of 16 years to John M. Mort, Jr.

Darlene was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Waynesboro.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and cooking.  She loved spending time with her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Mitch Andrew and wife Micky and Toby Andrew and wife Becky both of Fairfield, PA; daughter, Tracy Orndorff and husband Brian of Fairfield, PA; step-daughter, Bessie Mort of Mechanicsburg, PA; step-son, John D. Mort of OR; siblings, Ronald, Kevin, Bill, Cory, and Troy Sites, and Tammy Wagerman; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Jane Sites.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a prayer service at 2:00 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD with Rev. Robert Malagesi, MSSCC officiating.  Burial will follow in Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.
