Courtney Elizabeth Coblentz, 26, of Thurmont, MD, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Born March 27, 1991 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of Terry A. Coblentz of Thurmont and the late Susan Kim (Gray) Coblentz.
Courtney was a Medical Receptionist at Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute in Frederick. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was being with her children.
Surviving, in addition to her father Terry, are her children, Madeline and Mason Whetzel and Mallory Coblentz; sisters, Jamie Feaster of WV, Kelly Hebert of Smithsburg, Kristy Hernandez of MD, and Jenna Coblentz and fiancé Michael Liles of Thurmont; brother, John Ryan Coblentz of Thurmont; grandparents, Geraldine Coblentz, and Roger & Anita Carol Gray, all of Thurmont; sister-in-law, Michelle Coblentz of Highfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her mother Kim, she was predeceased by a brother, Terry C. Coblentz and grandfather, John Coblentz.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Weller United Methodist Church, 101 N. Altamont Ave., Thurmont, MD with Pastor John Seay officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9th at Weller United Methodist Church.
