Corwin Alan “Corey” Moore II, 20, of Westminster died peacefully Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Born August 31, 1992 in Macon, Georgia, he was the son of Corwin A. “Corky” and Dara E. “Dee” Moore of Westminster.
Corey was a special young man who touched the hearts of all who met and knew him. He attended Carroll Springs School. He enjoyed music, school, and being with family.
Surviving in addition to his parents are sister, Courtney A. Moore of Westminster; maternal grandparents, C. David and Martha Southwick of Terre Haute, IN; paternal grandmother, Shirley Moore of Westminster; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles. He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Bob M. Moore. The family wishes to express special thanks to friend and neighbor, Vicki Harris; family friend, Lynne Dugan; Carroll Springs School, Gilchrist Hospice and the Carrollton Church of God family. Corey taught us love, compassion, and most of all what a true hero is. Therefore, we celebrate the life of this amazing young man.
Everyone is invited to join the family for a memorial service celebrating Corey’s life at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Carrollton Church of God, 2151 Bethel Rd., Finksburg, MD. Pastor Dave Meador will officiate. Interment will be private. Following the service, there will be a time of sharing food & fellowship in the church hall.
