Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Collette A. (Balulis) Coyle, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her home in Chesterfield, Missouri. Previously, she resided in Thurmont, Maryland, and Catasauqua, PA.
Born March 6, 1928 in Seltzer, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Mastauskas) Balulis. She was predeceased by her husband, James Anthony Coyle in 2007. They were members of Ascension Parish in Chesterfield, Missouri.
Surviving her are children and spouses, Mary Collette Cipparone and husband, Albert, of Burke, Va.; James J. Coyle and wife, Cynthia, of Chesterfield; Joseph J. Coyle of St. Augustine, FL; Kathleen Filer and husband, Anthony, of Oreland Park, IL; Rosemary Fazio and husband, Michael, of Lower Gwynned, PA; and Dianne Foster and husband, Alvin, of Damascus, MD; sister-in-law, Antoinette Balulis of Minersville, PA; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings and spouses, Joseph Balulis and wife, Ann; Mary Rosa and husband, John; Helen Balulis, R.N.; Albert Balulis and wife, Anna; William Balulis; Alphonse Balulis; and Alice Buzas and husband, John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, MD with Rev. Edward B. Connolly as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery in Emmitsburg. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD.
