Colin Trevor Martin Fraser, beloved son, brother and friend passed away at his home in Spring Grove, PA on January 6, 2025. He was born in Trinidad and emigrated to the United States where he proudly served his adopted country in the U.S. Army. He was extremely proud of his military service which included many commendations and awards.
After military service, Colin embarked on a fulfilling IT career, becoming an expert in data center setup and management, and IT security. His expertise and guidance were instrumental in the success of numerous IT projects, ensuring the smooth development and operation of critical infrastructure.
Colin was known for his infectious personality, no-nonsense attitude and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He possessed an uncanny ability to connect with people from all walks of life, including many close, lifelong friendships with high school friends, colleagues and clients.
Colin was initiated into Phi Delta Theta Fraternity Kearney State College Chapter on January 20, 1985. He continued his brotherhood with Phi Delta Theta Maryland Beta Chapter when he transferred to Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in 1988. His relationships with his Phi Delta Theta brothers continued to be an integral part of his life up to his passing.
Colin's passion extended beyond his work. He loved music, travel, great food, beautiful cars, and spending time with his loved ones. He possessed an extensive knowledge of history and was an avid reader and learner.
Colin is survived by his mother, Irma, and siblings, Keith, Janice, Kerwyn, Arlene, Joan, Joeffrey and David along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Carlton.
A memorial service will be held on January 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Myers Durboraw Funeral Home at 91 Willis Street in Westminster, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AmVets.
Colin will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of dedication, service, and friendship will continue to inspire those who knew him.
