Clarence Lee King

Clarence Lee King, 80, of Westminster, died Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2015 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Born March 20, 1935 in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Thelma Pearl McGuire King.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Ruth Hackney King.
Clarence was a carpenter, and devout Christian all his life.  He published “Poets for Christ” at New Life Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a sister, Elsie M. Surface of Salem, VA and a brother, Larry W. King of Ormond Beach, FL; daughter-in-law, Tracy King of Hanover, PA; and 2 grandsons, Austin W. King and Joshua L. King.
He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Star King in January of 2015, and by a brother, Aven King.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster with the Rev. David S. Schafer officiating.  Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
