Clarence Lee “Bunky” Cubbage, 53, of Thurmont, Maryland died peacefully Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at his home.
Born May 15, 1958 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Garland and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Cubbage. He was the loving husband of Deanna (Esterline) Cubbage.
He was a professional truck driver and worked for Avanti Marble & Granite, Inc. in Buckeystown, Maryland. He was an avid Ravens fan, loved NASCAR, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He attended Frederick Christian Fellowship near Frederick.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Jennifer and Brett Cubbage of Baltimore, Bradley Cubbage of Florida, Matt Cubbage of Westminster & step-son, Steven Rousseau of Thurmont; sisters, Edie Thomas and husband Bill of Taneytown & Lynda Smith and husband Joe of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; brother Doug Cubbage of Wilmington, NC; mother-in-law, Kathy Esterline of Baltimore; and 4 grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by sister, Alice “Babe” Kontz and brother, Gary Cubbage.
Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, Maryland with Pastor Thomas Pentony officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. & from 6 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
