Christina Joene Gorski, 73, of Westminster, Maryland died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born July 13, 1941 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Kalivoda) Prevratil. She was the wife of John J. Gorski.
Christina was a Registered Nurse at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson for many years, and later at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, bird watching, and hummingbird theme collectibles. She loved family gatherings, especially during the holidays.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Ted M. Soltas and wife Monte of Finksburg; daughters, Terri Rill and husband Tim of Hampstead, and Lynn Luesse and husband Mark of Westminster; step-children, Deborah Gorski of Baltimore, Paul Gorski and wife Cheryll of Fairfield, PA, and Rebecca Galagher and husband Joe of Baltimore; grandchildren, Jared and Logan Soltas, Danielle and Desiree Rill, Nick and Erika Luesse, and Lauren and Christopher Gorski; and one great-granddaughter. She is also remembered by former spouse, Ted R. Soltas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, March 16 at St. John Catholic Church in Westminster with the Rev. Jaime Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD.
