Born February 5, 1925 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Tolly and Sarah E. (Faithful) Gill. Her husband, Albert P. Granger, predeceased her in 2012.
Cherie loved to pay canasta and solitaire on the computer and enjoyed all of her animals.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanie and George Shifflett of Taneytown; grandson, John “Paul” Smith (Lucy) of Finksburg, 4 other grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Sarah Magers Smith and brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Irma Anders.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
