Charlotte M. Waltz, 91, of Westminster, MD died peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
Born on May 2, 1926 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Harden) Lippy. She was the wife of the late Norman L. Waltz, Sr. who predeceased her in December, 1994.
Charlotte worked at National Advertising in her early years and later worked at G.C. Murphy Co. and Princess Shop in Westminster.
She loved the beach and made many trips to Atlantic City and Ocean City. Charlotte enjoyed antiquing, camping, traveling, working crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy and Orioles games. She and her husband were instrumental in preparing and delivering gift packages to the veterans at the Martinsburg VA Hospital. They also arranged holiday parties for them which the veterans thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the DAV and after her husband’s death she continued to be an active member of the organization. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster. Her greatest joy was her family and she was very involved in their lives, especially her granddaughters and great granddaughters.
Surviving are son, Norman L. “Lee” Waltz, Jr. and wife Donna of Westminster; granddaughters, Nicole Boyer and husband Frank and Sarah Peregoy; great granddaughters, Alyssa, Brooke, Hannah, Katelyn and Peyton Boyer; brother, Robert Lippy and wife Karen of Westminster; and son-in-law, Steve Peregoy of Westminster. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by daughter, Diane Waltz Peregoy; brothers, Jack and William Lippy; and sister, Ruth Selbe.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster. Private funeral services will be held on Friday with burial to follow in Deer Park Methodist Cemetery.
