Charles Ridgely White (Charlie), 81, of Westminster, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born April 25, 1940, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John and Adelaide (Danz) White. He was the beloved husband of Pamela H. White for 28 years.
He graduated from Towson High School in 1959. He worked as a retail manager for most of his career and did plumbing work in his later years. His enduring legacy was found in his final career, a stay-at-home dad to his twin girls. He was active in the Church of the Ascension for many years before becoming a member in 1996. He served on vestry several times and led the Outreach committee for 30 years. He lived a life of service to others and enjoyed his work with the soup kitchen, New Life for Girls and various other outreach organizations and projects. He loved cooking for the Mistletoe Mart and the monthly breakfast. He enjoyed participating in Christmas plays and vacation Bible school with his girls. He was a kind, generous and loving man who could not say no to a volunteer activity or any person or animal in need. He loved his Lord, family, and church. He was an avid fan of football. Whether he was watching his Ravens, other professional teams, college games, or past games, it really didn’t matter. He adored his pets, and they were devoted to him. He loved music, food, traveling, “Clifford” his big red tractor, and history. He enjoyed dragging his family to historical sites frequently and his family enjoyed the pleasure it gave him.
