Charles Oliver “Bud” Speicher, age 79, of Laurel, Maryland, died peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Columbia, Maryland. Born August 17, 1936 in Cumberland, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harvey H. and Nellie Grace (Hershberger) Speicher. He was the husband of Patricia Jane (Wright) Speicher.
Bud was a member of Forcey Bible Church in Silver Spring, MD. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was retired from Baxter Healthcare after 32 years. He was a gifted carpenter, and enjoyed hunting, downhill skiing, and swimming.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother, Robert H. Speicher of Grantsville, MD. He was predeceased by a sister, Audra C. Hahn, and by a brother, William R. Speicher.
The family will receive friends at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Chaplain Samuel Abraham of Gilchrist Hospice will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
