Charles Elwood Setters, age 70 died Monday, December 5, 2011 at his home in Westminster. He was born August 14, 1941 in Kentucky, son of the late Charles and Anna Smith Setters. He was the husband of Christine Tharp Setters. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked 42 years as a supervisor at Sweetheart Cup and after retirement for Rills Bus Service. He also enjoyed being a private pilot.
He is survived by children, Vonda Wean and husband, Danny, Joe Cook and wife, Pam, Grace Brittian and husband, Rusty, Jimmy Craighead, Barb Smith and husband, Randy, Charlie Setters and wife, Sky, Martie Hammond and Christopher Spiegel; siblings, Ed Setters, John Setters and wife, Hilda, Henry Setters and wife, Shirley and Paul Setters and wife, Sharon; also 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Eugene Setters and sister, Elsie Mae Foster.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 2127 W. Old Liberty Road, Westminster, MD 21157 with Pastor Tim Leaman officiating.
Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
