Charles M. Hahn, Jr.

Charles M. Hahn, Jr., age 87, of Taneytown, MD, died on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at home. He was the son of the late Charles M. Hahn, Sr. and Frances M. (Utz) Hahn. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth “Lib” (Shoemaker) Hahn,

Charles was a farmer his entire life, working on his farm outside of Taneytown. In addition to farming, he worked for 26 years for Taneytown Grain Supply and later for Keneco in Littlestown for 27 years. His favorite past time was going out to eat with his beloved “Lib”.

Surviving are a daughter, Janice Meier and husband John of Taneytown; a son John Hahn of Dallastown, PA; Sister-in-law Frances “Sis” Duvall and husband Donald of Taneytown; Brother-in-law George “Gus” Shoemaker and wife Beverly of Taneytown. Charles was predeceased by his parents, wife and a cherished granddaughter, Amanda L. Hahn.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Piney Creek Church of the Brethren, 4699 Teeter Road, Taneytown, MD 21787. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
