Catherine (Crushong) Bell

Catherine Margaret (Crushong) Bell, 69, passed away at home after a valiant battle with a lengthy illness on March 31, 2018.  Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.  A devout Christian, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she was most happy surrounded by her family.

Catherine was born to the late Henry and Armatha (Angel) Crushong of Union Bridge, Maryland on April 11, 1948.  She married her best friend, Ronald Bell, on June 30, 1967 and was happily married for over 50 years.  She dedicated her life to serving her Lord and Savior and loved to share the message of Christ.  She found comfort in her faith by regularly reading her Bible.  She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed watching the birds and deer at her home in Gettysburg.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband Ronald, daughters Tammy Null and Sherri Martin, grandchildren Brandon Null, Cody Null and his fiancé Jade Kennedy, and Clay Martin, ex-son-in-law Terry Null, brothers Robert Angel, Henry J.R. Crushong and his wife Robin, sister Linda Sinnott and her husband Sonny, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents as well as her niece, Penny Sinnott.  She cherished the time she spent with her family above all else and she will be deeply missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator.
