Catherine Barnhart Beaver, age 86, of Westminster, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Golden Living Center in Westminster. She was born October 29, 1921 the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Easton Barnhart. She was the wife of the late Howard William Beaver who died in 1997. She was a graduate of Westminster High School. She was a long time employee at Westminster Shoe and retired after 20 years from Random House. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Donna Etzler of Taneytown, Sharon Wenzing of Westminster, Edgar Beaver of Missouri, Shirley Davidson of Westminster, Janice Williams of Jackonsville, Fla., Thomas Eshelman of Westminster, Georgia Caputo of Vera Beach, Fla., Susan White of Hollywood, Fla., Roger Mann of Westminster and Mary Ann Huber of Bonita Springs, Florida; also several great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings, Mae G. Mann, Thomas Barnhart, Paul Barnhart, Louise Davis, Edna Eshelman and Mary Dix.
A funeral service will be held Monday 11:00 am at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with John C. Morrill, Funeral Celebrant officiating. Interment will be in Sandymount Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 pm and Monday 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
