Cassandra Ann Costley, 49, of Westminster, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her home. Born July 14, 1965 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Howard F. Costley, Sr. of Westminster and the late Mary Jane Gibson Costley.
Cassandra was a 1983 graduate of Westminster High School and a member of Union Memorial Baptist Church. She held a variety of jobs until she became disabled. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, telling stories and jokes, and being with her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Brittany Harris of Owings Mills and a son, Justin Carter and fiancée, Allison Wilson, of Westminster; sisters, Sheila Gibson, Pamela Allen and husband, Nick, and Valerie Saunders, all of Westminster, and Towanda Teaster and husband, Ralph “Moe” Teaster, of Owings Mills; a brother, Howard Costley, Jr, and wife, Jessie of Westminster; granddaughters, Jayana Paris and Layla Jane Carter; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Tyrone Costley, her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Gibson & her aunt, Eleanor Costley.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, April 12th, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Union Memorial Baptist Church, 160 S. Center Street, Westminster. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 13th at the church with her pastor, the Reverend Edwin C. Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in Ellsworth Cemetery.
