Carroll James Wills, Jr., age 77, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, following an extended illness.
Born August 2, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Carroll J. and Mary (Orlick) Wills, Sr. He was the husband of 52 years to Anita M. (Colantoni) Wills.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Carroll served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. He spent 30 years in the banking industry as an auditor and CFO in California, before retiring in 1989. A devoted family man, Carroll loved sailing, golf, historical novels, classical music, working on cars and slaying computer viruses.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, Carroll J. Wills III and wife Cynthia of Elk Grove, CA, and Stewart M. Wills, and wife Margaret of Silver Spring, MD; grandchildren, Matthew, David, Rosalind, and Ben Wills.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster, MD.
