Carrie Ruth (Clabaugh) Boone, 83, resident of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021 at A & W Assisted Living home in Randallstown.
Born July 10, 1937 in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Luther Joseph and Ruthanna Frances (Harman) Clabaugh. She was the wife of the late Robert Donald Boone, who preceded her in death in 1982.
Carrie was a hard worker who drove a school bus for over 30 years for Carroll County public school system. She loved tending to her flower beds, and spending time with her pet dog “Peanut”.
Surviving are son, Joseph Boone and wife Patty of Taneytown; sister, Frances Ridinger of Keysville; grandchildren, Eric, Kyle, Travis, Skylar, Douglas, Adam and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Gabriel, Cassidy and Sylas; niece, Betty Cool and Carolyn Cooksey; and nephew, Tom Ridinger. She was predeceased by an infant son, Daniel Robert Boone; brother, Edward Clabaugh; and by a granddaughter, Katelyn.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 and from 10 a.m. on Monday, January 11th until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, with Deacon Charles Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Keysville Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
