Carolyn Eva Coshun, 73, of Keysville, Maryland died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born June 29, 1941 in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Kermit and Della Gladhill Glass. She was the wife of Leroy Coshun, to whom she was married for 35 years.
Carolyn was a 1959 graduate of Emmitsburg High School and a member of Tom’s Creek U.M. Church near Emmitsburg. She was a homemaker who enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, collecting snowmen and cookbooks, and spending time with family and friends. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Billy Usilton, DeDe Stottlemyer, and George Hutchison; step-children, Deb Coshun and Darrell Coshun Sr; siblings, Betty Ann Mumma, Bill and Jim Glass, Velma “Sis” Stambaugh, Patty McGlaughlin, Nancy Baker, and Gary, Larry, and Michael Glass; and numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church, 16252 Tom’s Creek Church Rd, Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Elsa Hurst officiating. Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Thursday.
