Carol Victoria Stonesifer

Carol Victoria Stonesifer, 80, of Taneytown, died on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Lorien in Taneytown. Born on July 15, 1944, in Bremerton, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Adam Stiely and Doris Elaine Tracy. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Ralph William Stonesifer Jr., who passed suddenly in 1984. 

Carol was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, class of 1962. Before retiring, she worked as a sales representative at Random House in Westminster, Maryland. Carol loved reading and western movies. She was active in her family, often spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of Church of the Open Door. 

She is survived by her son, Bill Stonesifer and wife Rachael Stonesifer of Annapolis, MD, her daughter, Nicole Bosnick and husband Paul Bosnick of Manchester, MD, her sister Joan Wantz of Westminster, MD and her beloved niece Rhea Bollinger; and five grandchildren Jordan and Jayden Bosnick, and Ariana, Adam, and Allison Stonesifer. 

She was predeceased by her brother Doug Stiely and sister Ann Fletcher. 

A visitation will be held on October 24, 2024, from 11am to 12 noon at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 12pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Belcher officiating. Interment will follow at the Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Taneytown.
