Carl Robert McNeave, age 56, of Westminster, Maryland, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home.
Born January 26, 1960 in Takoma Park, Maryland, he was the son of Rose Leutu McNeave of Westminster and the late Robert Leo McNeave.
Carl attended High School at Highland View Academy in Hagerstown MD & was a graduate of the class of 1978. He earned his letter of Recognition in Graphic Design from Carroll Community College and started a home Graphic Design business: CG Design. Carl worked at Westminster Glass & Mirror (1980-1987), Quality Glass & Aluminum (1987-1992) and was currently employed at Lites & Reflections, Inc. in Westminster and was promoted to Vice President in 2010. Carl was a very dedicated and loyal employee. Carl was a lifetime member of the Westminster Seventh-day Adventist Church where he unselfishly volunteered his many gifts and talents, some of which were in Media/Sound and Music Ministry. He had a lifetime love of music. He was an accomplished self-taught musician, played multiple instruments and sang. He played for many years with various groups in a variety of genres. Carl’s hobbies also included Astronomy, Art, Fitness and Photography. Carl was blessed with a heart for others – always willing to help, listen and do whatever was needed without being asked. He cherished time with his children, family and friends. He will be missed greatly by many.
Surviving in addition to his mother are wife, Wendy McNeave of Essex, MD; son, Robert Michael McNeave, and daughter Rachel Louise McNeave both of Westminster; brother, Jay McNeave and wife Kathy of Westminster; sister, Betty McGuire and husband Joe Costantini of Westminster; nieces and nephew, Kaci McNeave, Hannah and Hayden McGuire.
The family will receive friends on both Thursday, May 19, 2016 and Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Westminster Seventh-day Adventist Church, 320 Crest Lane, Westminster, MD. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Westminster Seventh-day Adventist Church. Inurnment will follow on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John (Leisters) Lutheran Church Cemetery in Westminster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
