Bradley Michael South, 24, of Taneytown died unexpectedly on Monday, June 11, 2018. Born October 14, 1993 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Donald South of Biglerville, PA and Tammy Spangler of Taneytown.
Bradley was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, class of 2012. He enjoyed playing basketball and video games and collecting baseball cards. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving, in addition to his father Donald and step-mother, Julie, and his mother Tammy and her fiancé, John McLaren, are siblings, Holly South of Hagerstown and Dylan, Hailey, Braxtyn and Zayne South, all of Biglerville, PA; maternal grandmother Arlene Spangler of Taneytown; paternal grandparents, Patricia Swope and husband Larry of Hedgesville, WV, and Jerry South and companion Dee Bearden of Kingwood, TX; and aunts, Cindy Duble of Gettysburg, PA and Wendy Hoover of Littlestown, PA. He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Fred Spangler.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 East Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787 with Pastors Jeremiah and Cori Herbert officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Harney. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray final expenses may be made to the funeral home at the above address.
