“Boots” Glass Mackinzie, 75, of Taneytown, MD died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster following an extended illness. Born March 3, 1937 in Emmitsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul C. and Estelle Davis Glass. She was the wife of Bill Mackinzie, her husband of 58 years.
She devoted her life to her husband and raising her family in a military environment. She worked as a teller at Taneytown Bank and Trust Co. for many years, and attended Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Paul Mackinzie of Charlotte, NC. and Billy Mackinzie III of London, England; daughters Joyce Meckley and Laurie Hossler both of Hanover, PA.; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linnis Dagnin and Mildred McNair; and brothers, David and Eric Glass.
A graveside service and interment will be held at Keysville Union Cemetery on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Mark Mooney officiating. Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
