Blanca Jordan Morales Avila, 66, of Frederick, Maryland died Monday, January 15, 2013 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born December 27, 1946 in Guatemala, she was the daughter of the late Miguel deJesus Jordan and Natalia Morales Jordan.
Blanca was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Frederick. She loved serving others and enjoyed growing and arranging flowers. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are sons, Edgar Avila and wife, Ingris, of Frederick, and Julius Ottoniel and wife, Brenda Avila, of Frederick; daughter, Karen Avila of Frederick; sisters, Irma Rosales of Hyattsville and Maria del Carmen Jordan of Guatemala; brothers, Miguel Enrique Jordan and Jose Armando Jordan both of Guatemala; 9 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 119 North Place, Frederick, MD with President Daniel Rivera officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4-10 p.m. Friday and 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
