Blair Lee Kapraun (known as “Butch” or "Lee" to family and friends), 74, of Taneytown, passed away peacefully at Nova Springs Assisted Living Facility in Finksburg on 12 September 2021. Born 22 November 1946, he was the son of the late Elmer and Beverly (Marlowe) Kapraun. He was the husband of Roberta “Robin” (Raith) Kapraun, to whom he was married for 46 years.
Butch was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Robin, are his daughters, Jennifer Russell and husband Jack of Westminster, and Deborah Kapraun of Fallston, MD; and grandchildren, John and Madalynn Russell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Elmer Joseph Kapraun, Jr.
The family will receive friends 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. Masks and vaccinations are requested per the family's wishes, as well as for the safety of all in attendance . Interment will be private at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.
