Beulah Marie Slaysman, 88, of Finksburg died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Golden Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Westminster, Maryland. Born May 27, 1926 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Oscar and Bertha Ida Wheeler Myers. She was the wife of the late Marvin Richard Jarret “Jerry” Slaysman.
She was a 1947 graduate of the Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing. Marie was a registered nurse for over 40 years, retiring from the Bonnie Blink Masonic Home in Cockeysville in 1991 where she served for more than 15 years as the Director of Nursing Administration.
She is survived by son, Kenneth Scott Slaysman and wife Nanette of Mt. Holly Springs, PA; daughters, Deborah Lynn Mauck and husband John of Catonsville Manor, and Lori Ann McCracken of Finksburg; daughter-in-law, Susan Slaysman; grandchildren Corinne, Erica, Colin, Richard Jr., Jaime, Nathan, Travis, Andrea, Matthew, Benjamin, and Jessica. She was also blessed with 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Richard Craig Slaysman, and brothers, Jesse and Robert Myers.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22 at Salem United Methodist Church, 7509 Windsor Mill Rd., Hebbville.
