Betty Lee Thomas

Betty Lee Thomas, 87, of Baltimore, MD, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Pleasant Care Nursing and Assisted Living in Baltimore.  Born November 14, 1932 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Howard Bell Sr. and the late Emma (Biggins) Bell.  She was the wife of the late Carroll H. Thomas, Jr.

Betty was a sales clerk with McCrory Department Stores for over 40 years.  She enjoyed sewing, collecting knick-knacks, and reading, especially her Bible.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Adams and husband Charles of Taneytown; granddaughter, Kelly Bellgrau and husband Michael of Westminster, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers, Howard Bell, Jr. and Charles Bell; and sisters, Margaret Christy and Thelma Volz.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
