Betty Coe Riner – Kulp, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born February 10, 1927, she was the wife of the late Philip M. Kulp. Betty was a long time educator in Frederick County teaching Art in the Frederick County Public School system grades 1 -12. She taught for years at Frederick High School before becoming an Art Professor at Frederick Community College. She was the first art professor for the Frederick Community College. Betty loved traveling around the world and visiting Costa Rica.
She was predeceased by her husband Philip Kulp and grandson Charles Robert Lewis. She is survived by daughter Kathey Sokol and her husband Michael Sokol of Lawrenceville, GA and son Robert Riner and wife Pam of Middletown, MD. She is also survived by three grandchildren Kevin Sokol, Matthew Riner, and Andrea Riner.
