On November 28th, 2024, Betty Fay Hill passed away in Westminster. Born on December 2, 1931, in Gamber, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ryburn T. and Marjorie Viola E. Koontz Keith.
Betty enjoyed many things in life: cooking, watching TV, dancing, gardening, designing and making holiday crafts, bird and wildlife watching and feeding. She also loved her cats and had a fabulous sense of humor. She loved to paint horses and was a very talented artist who sold many oil paintings of animals and scenery. She was the lead singer with bands in PA and MD and loved to go out shopping for stage clothes during her singing career. Her favorite artists were Patsy Cline and Linda Rondstadt. Betty enjoyed sunbathing, swimming in pools, lakes and the ocean, and the annual family trips to Ocean City, MD. In general, Betty worked very hard her whole life, beginning in her teens with caring for three younger sisters, then later her five children and four grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children Steve Hill, Bruce Hill, Brian Hill, Clark and wife Lisa Hill, and Rhonda and husband Chris Esser; sister Veronica Krout; grandchildren Todd Hill, Lauren Hill, Lindsey Hill, Hunter Hill and great grandson Noah Hill.
