Betty Virginia Flickinger, 89, of Westminster, died Saturday morning, November 29, 2014 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born August 31, 1925 in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Norman O. and Freda Selders Eckard. She is predeceased by her husband, Milton Devilbiss Flickinger.
Betty was formerly employed by Telemecanique in Westminster and Windsor Shoe in Littlestown, PA. She was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Silver Run. Betty enjoyed sewing and crocheting, playing Bingo and slot machines.
Surviving her is a brother, Clarence Eckard of Westminster; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Ralph, William and Leon Eckard and sisters, Alice Gill, Mary Shamer, Patty Stonesifer, Carole Lescalleet and Dolly Null.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 6th from the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, with Chaplain Art Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Run.
The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
