Betty Mae (Hood) Cornett

Betty Mae (Hood) Cornett, age 88, of Westminster, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at home. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Marie (Barber) Hood. She was the wife of Arnold Cornett.

Betty enjoyed writing poems. Her preferred method of staying in touch with family, friends, and pen pals, was through writing letters. She was a member of Deer Park Bible Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are, son, David Blizzard of Fayetteville, PA; sister, Nancy Ward; and brother, Bobby Hood. She was predeceased by her parents and infant daughter Bonnie Blizzard.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 10-11 am at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157. A funeral service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
