Betty June (Stewart) Bapisteller

February 4, 1925 — March 26, 2014

Betty June Bapisteller, 89, of Baltimore, Maryland died peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her son’s home in Taneytown.  Born February 4, 1925 in Benton, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret Nelson Stewart.  She was the wife of the late George Bapisteller to whom she was married for 46 years.  George died in 1992.

Betty was a cashier for the Giant Food Store at Ingleside Shopping Center in Baltimore for 30 years.  She loved animals and flowers, and spending time with her family.  She enjoyed watching Baltimore Orioles baseball, cutting coupons, shopping and camping.

Surviving are son, Stevan Bapisteller and wife Kristine of Taneytown; sister, Naomi Weitz of Frederick; grandsons, Christopher Bapisteller of Baltimore, Jake Bapisteller and wife Genie of Glen Burnie, and Mathew Ebaugh and wife Kelly of Westminster; great-grandchildren, Blake Bapisteller, and Tiffany and Megan Ebaugh; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by son, Richard Bapisteller, and siblings, Bill Stewart, Dorothy Sparks, Joanne Blankenbeckler and Donna Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 31 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.  Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.  The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
