Barry Alexander Schroeder, 57, of Finksburg, died on Friday, August 13, 2021 at BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster. Born July 7, 1964 in Baltimore, he was the son of Kenneth and Peggy (Dalton) Schroeder of Westminster. He was the devoted husband of Theresa Ann (Kramer) Schroeder, his wife of 32 years.
Barry worked in construction supply management for many years with Wharton Supply in Springfield, VA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, cooking, grilling, and attending AKC Spaniel hunting events.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Theresa and his parents, are his daughter, Alexandra Brittany Schroeder of Baltimore; sisters, Kimberly Trieschman and husband Scott of Woodbine, and Priscilla Hayes and husband Steve of Westminster; niece, Taylor; nephews, Dalton Wade, and Cooper; great-nephew, Dalton Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Barry will also be missed by his 2 dogs, Nat and Cesar.
A memorial service to celebrate Barry’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/MDFHWestminster/ for those unable to attend. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. If you have not been vaccinated, the family requests that you wear a mask in the funeral home for the protection of the elderly. Masks will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barry’s name may be made to the 2021 Cocker National Championship. Checks should be made payable to ECSCA and mailed to ECSCA 2021 NCC, Deb Strohl, Secretary, N2286 Shore Dr., Marionette, WI 54143.
