Barbara Frances Shifflett, age 49 of Abingdon died Monday August 23, 2010 at her home. She was born June 10, 1961 in Baltimore the daughter of David R. and Barbara Bandorick Dyson of Westminster. Before her illness she had been employed at Montgomery Wards. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her granddaughter’s ballgames and babysitting her grandson. She loved her pet dogs. She had a deep devotion to St. Jude.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Bill Barlow of Edgewood; brothers, Thomas Shifflett of Westminster and David Dyson II of Littlestown; grandchildren, Alexis Ann and Lucas Barlow; dear friend, Susan Sykes of Kingsville, MD.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M.
at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster Fr. Hector Mateus-Ariza as celebrant. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster.
