Barbara Anne Harvey-Ziegler

Barbara Anne Harvey-Ziegler, age 74, of Taneytown, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster. Born September 6, 1948, she was the daughter of Anne Poole Harvey and the late John W. Harvey. She was the wife of the late Joseph “Joe” A. Ziegler.

Barbara attended Taneytown High School and graduated from St. Leo College in Florida. She held various positions working in the Human Resource Department in Florida and in Maryland. Barbara enjoyed spending time with many family and friends. She was the secretary of her high school graduating class, had monthly lunches with Curve Girls and also classmates. Barbara was an active member of the Taneytown Presbyterian Church and more recently attended New Hope Faith Church in McSherrystown, PA.

She is survived by her mother, Anne Poole Harvey of Taneytown; sister, Ruth Harvey Martin and husband Philip of Littlestown, PA; niece, Gwen Bounds of Taneytown; great niece Casey Bounds; nephew, Samuel Martin and wife Peggy of Taneytown; great nephew Cooper Bounds; and many cousins. She is also survived by devoted friends, Mark and Joanne LeBelle of Taneytown, Gaby and Larry Lowe of FL, and Sue Kluck of TN. She was predeceased by her father, John W. Harvey and former husband Nick Ryjkoff.

The family will receive friends at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 6-8pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 11am with the Rev. Jim Herbert officiating.
