Barbara Rose Fannin Boone, 63, of Waynesboro, PA, formerly of Taneytown, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. Born December 19, 1950 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Calageras Fannin.
Barbara was co-owner of the former BRB Concessions in Taneytown. She was previously employed for more than 20 years as an Administrative Assistant at Worthington Pump Company in Taneytown, now known as Flow Serve. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown.
Surviving is a daughter, Angela Battaglini of Taneytown; son, Tyler Boone of New England; sister, Kathleen Fannin-Balmer of Waynesboro, PA; brother, Paul Fannin and wife Julie of Emmitsburg; son-in-law, Frank Battaglini, Jr. of Taneytown; grandson, Frankie Battaglini III; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Joshua Boone, and brothers, Michael and David Fannin.
The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 8 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Mr. Darrell Smith officiating. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St, Taneytown, MD Wednesday, February 26 at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Martin E. Feild as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
