Audrey Caroline Gohl, age 91 of Baltimore, died Tuesday April 6, 2010 at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care. She was born October 12, 1918 in City Island, NY the daughter of the late William and Carrie Wood Jenkins. She was the wife of the late Frederick G. Gohl, Jr. who died in 2003. She was a member of Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baltimore and the American Legion Auxiliary, Robert Van Cott Post.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Sharon of Shrewsbury,PA., grandsons, Kevin R. Gohl and Rev. William J. Gohl, Jr. and his wife, Rev. Arwyn Gohl, great grandchildren, Joyanne, Andrew, David and Saliese. She was predeceased by her son, Frederick W. Gohl.
A funeral service will be held Monday 10:00 am at St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 54 Nassau Blvd., West Hempstead, NY with Rev. Frederick McElderry and Rev. William J. Gold, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead, NY.
The family will receive friends Sunday 2:00 to 4:30 pm and 7:00 to 9:30 pm at Barnes & Sorrentino Funeral Home, 539 Hempstead Avenue, West Hempstead, NY 11552.
