Arthur Singleton “Art” Lowe died on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home. Born February 19, 1950, in Frederick, Maryland, he was the son of the late Ray Lawrence and Flora (King) Lowe. He was the husband of Beverly Ann (Shindledecker) Lowe, to whom he was married for nearly 48 years.
Art was a truck driver, and was employed with W.F. Delauter & Sons for 28 years. In addition to being a truck driver he was also a farmer for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing, driving and working on trucks, and watching wrestling. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his two dogs, Jack and Max.
In addition to his wife, Art is survived by his daughter, Margaret “Annie” Cook and husband Paul of Waynesboro, PA; sister, Betty Presley and husband Phil of Thurmont; grandchildren, Daniel Heims, and Sean and Audrey Cook; nephew, Michael Presley; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many other nephews and nieces.
