Arthur George Kirby, age 73, of Fairfield, PA died peacefully Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his home. Born December 16, 1938 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son Arthur L. Kirby and the late Anna May Hock Kirby. He was the husband of Joanne Sadonis Kirby, his wife of 25 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He worked as an administrator for IBM Corporation for 25 years and was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg, MD. He loved playing golf and enjoyed collecting fountain pens.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sister, Ann Marie Kirby of Baltimore, MD. He was predeceased by brother, George Kirby.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Charles F. Krieg, C.M. serving as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
