Arthur W. Greenholtz, Jr. died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, MD. Born October 6, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur W. & Mary Kellner Greenholtz, Sr. He was the husband of the late Beverly Ann Hawk Greenholtz.
He was a painter and wood worker. He was the proprietor of Greenholtz & Son Painting. He loved Civil War re-enacting, fishing, horseback riding and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are sons, Steven Lee Greenholtz and Arthur Wesley Greenholtz, III, both of Westminster; granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Greenholtz of Westminster; close family friends, Melanie Stewart of Frederick and Janet Wimbush of Philadelphia, PA; as well as numerous other friends.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 2 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with the Rev. Rachel Semovoski officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
