Antonio Sanchez Repiso went home to the Lord peacefully on March 29, 2023 at age 92.
Antonio was born November 13, 1930 in Cuevas de San Marcos, Malaga, Spain.
Antonio will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Pilar and his son Jose Antonio Sanchez and his wife Cynthia and his daughter Susana Macaoay and her husband Miguel Macaoay. He was the proud grandfather, “Yeyo”, to his grandchildren, Miguel Antonio and Alejandro Daniel. He shared his nature loving spirit with them by his upmost enthusiasm on the sidelines as he watched them play their sports.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Antonio dedicated over 25 years of service to Long Beach Public Schools in New York, servicing the ground facilities for the schools. Antonio retired in 1993 returning back to his home country, Spain.
Antonio’s love of the Salt Life was palpable as he fished many early mornings in the Long Island Sound. He was a gifted and talented gardener. Summers were always full of abundant and delicious vegetables. His Gazpacho was one of the resulting delicacies!
A mass will be held to celebrate his extraordinary life on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Eldersburg, Maryland.
